is the first time since August 22, 1993 that the top two of the Premier League has been Everton and Liverpool at the end of a round of matches. Everton beat Sheffield United 4-2 that weekend and Liverpool beat Swindon 5-0. Liverpool ended up finishing eighth and Everton 17th that season — each side’s jointworst finishing position in Premier League history!
