I work in an industry where age, looks, and money are people’s main priority. I get sick to the teeth of the back stabbing and insincerity among my co-workers. Recenty a new man joined our industry and I get along very well with him, much to the disappointment of other colleagues. They have hardly given him a chance, saying they have no interest in helping him and have decided they don’t like him very much.

I know this situation will make things very difficult for me and I am wondering how I can handle it. Can you give me any advice? G

ANSWER

Our goal in life should be to build sufficient confidence not to care what other people’s opinions of us are. Cherish and approve of yourself and your choice of friendships knowing the results will be you are already loved, valued, and respected. Our journey is to build some depth to our own character and to live with the most important person’s respect and approval, namely our own. We will be far more attractive, intriguing and interesting people as a result, when we stay true to ourselves rather than follow the crowd.

When you hold on tightly to a part of your life that’s not working, it has no room to heal. Whether you’re unhappy with your love life, finances, career, home or health, this card asks you to let it go.
