SPURS BEAT BAYERN TO £25M GENOA DEFENDER DRAGUSIN

■ TOTTENHAM are set to see off interest from Bayern Munich and complete a £25million swoop for Genoa centre back Radu Dragusin. Out-of-favour right back Djed Spence, who was sent back from a seasonlong loan at Leeds, is expected to head in the opposite direction. The deal for the Romanian was in doubt on Tuesday when Bayern tabled a late offer for him. But the defender has opted to join Spurs, which has seen Bayern revive their interest in Tottenham’s Eric Dier. He has six months left on his contract and will cost about £3m. ÷JADON SANCHO is finally set to complete his return to Borussia Dortmund on loan. MANCHESTER UNITED and the German club have been locked in talks for more than a week and a breakthrou­gh has now been made, with the England winger set for a medical before signing until the end of the season. The deal is a straight loan with no option to buy. ÷ANTHONY MARTIAL wants to see out the final six months of his contract at United before leaving on a free.

■ LIVERPOOL attacker Fabio Carvalho has completed his loan to HULL until the end of the season. The Championsh­ip side will cover about 40 per cent of the 21-yearold’s wages. There is no option for him to join on a permanent deal.

■ RUAIDHRI Higgins is backing the ‘proven’ Patrick Hoban to continue doing for DERRY CITY what he did so often for Dundalk – score goals. Hoban, 32, has signed a two-year deal for the Candystrip­es after two successful spells at Dundalk embracing 150 goals in 296 games, three Premier Division titles and two FAI Cups.
