VILLA MOVE FOR ROGERS AFTER FINE CUP CAMEO

■ VILLA’s opening bid to sign the MIDDLESBRO­UGH forward Morgan Rogers was rejected last night. Villa will now consider a revised bid for the 21-year-old, who joined Boro six months ago from Manchester City and impressed against Villa in the FA Cup. Villa are also set to sign right back Kosta Nedeljkovi­c from Red Star Belgrade after he undergoes his medical today. The 18-year-old will return to Red Star on loan.

■ NEWCASTLE UNITED defender Javier Manquillo is reuniting with former boss Rafa Benitez at CELTA VIGO. The 29-year-old full back travelled to Spain yesterday ahead of agreeing terms.

■ FULHAM are maintainin­g contact with Brazilian side Fluminense over a deal for midfielder Andre. The 22-year-old was lined up by Fulham in December as they expected an offer from Bayern Munich for Joao Palhinha. NOTTINGHAM FOREST forward Divock Origi has interest from MLS sides Los Angeles FC and FC Cincinnati. The Belgian, 28, is on loan at Forest from AC Milan until the end of the season. Forest have an option to buy but he could return to Milan ahead of choosing a new club. MANCHESTER UNITED defender Rhys Bennett is joining STOCKPORT on loan.

■ TOTTENHAM defender Japhet Tanganga has joined Millwall on loan. LEICESTER CITY must sell before they attempt to proceed with a deal for INTER MILAN midfielder Stefano Sensi.

■ SWANSEA have had a bid of around £500,000 turned down by Standard Liege for winger Romaine Mundle, who also has interest from STOKE and PLYMOUTH. Norwich midfielder Adam Forshaw, 32, is discussing a move to Plymouth.

■ IPSWICH are in talks with Sheffield Wednesday for Marvin Johnson. The wing back, 33, has returned to the fold under Danny Rohl after not being registered to play under predecesso­r Xisco Munoz.
