TOON REJECT BAYERN’S £13m TRIPPIER BID

NEWCASTLE UNITED have rejected Bayern Munich’s £12.8m offer for Kieran Trippier. The German club submitted their third proposal yesterday after a loan approach and a ‘lowball’ permanent package were turned down over the weekend. Newcastle are determined to keep Trippier but Bayern have been given encouragem­ent that the 33-year-old is open to a move, if the Magpies were to accept an offer. However, he will not agitate to leave and is happy playing under Eddie Howe. Miguel Almiron would prefer to stay at Newcastle after an approach was made by Saudi club Al Shabab, whose proposal was a permanent deal of around £17m. Newcastle are closing on an agreement with

MANCHESTER CITY to sign midfielder Alfie Harrison, 18. WEST HAM are in talks with Danish side Nordsjaell­and over a £16m deal for Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Osman, 19.

ASTON VILLA have agreed to send midfielder Leander Dendoncker on loan to Napoli. The 28-year-old is due to have a medical today and there is an option to make the move permanent for £7.6m. NOTTINGHAM FOREST are in talks to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Gio Reyna, as well as Carlos Borges from Ajax, both on loan. The deal for Reyna, 21, a USA internatio­nal, includes an option to buy. Borges, 19, also a winger, was a target for Forest and West Ham last summer but he joined Ajax instead from Manchester City for £12m.

SHEFFIELD UNITED are closing in on a £2m deal for goalkeeper Ivo Grbic from Atletico Madrid after he flew in for a medical yesterday.
