■ KALVIN PHILLIPS has completed his medical ahead of signing for WEST HAM on loan from Manchester City. The deal will include an option to buy for around £40million in the summer and the 28-year-old hopes to figure against Bournemouth on Thursday. West Ham are continuing talks over a fee for Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman and remain open to adding another forward. REAL BETIS still want Hammers midfielder Pablo Fornals on loan.
■ CHELSEA and West Ham are among the clubs monitoring NEWCASTLE’S Callum Wilson but talks have yet to develop. Chelsea have been mulling over short-term options, including Aston Villa’s now-injured Jhon Duran, but ideally want Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in the summer.
■ BAYERN MUNICH have switched sights from Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier to Galatasaray right back Sacha Boey, who has been watched by Manchester United and Arsenal.
■ ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC 18-year-old Sam Curtis has added to his rising career graph by signing for Premier League strugglers Sheffield United. The Saints confirmed yesterday that the clubs had agreed an undisclosed international training compensation fee Curtis, who was out of contract after helping Pats win the FAI Cup.
■ ASTON VILLA have checked on the progress of Norwich winger Jonathan Rowe. Villa remain in talks over a move for Boro’s Morgan Rogers, too.
■ CRYSTAL PALACE are pondering a revised bid for Blackburn midfielder Adam Wharton after an £18.5m offer was turned down and Rovers asked to keep Wharton on loan.
■ MIDDLESBROUGH and SUNDERLAND are pursuing a loan move for Leicester City full back Luke Thomas. Leicester midfielder Dennis Praet has emerged as a target for Rotal Antwerp. QPR are keen on Antwerp striker Michael Frey.
■ SHEFFIELD UNITED are continuing to push for Nottingham Forest centre back Joe Worrall.
