A MASSIVE hit in the 1990s, this macho drama was created by Lucy Gannon, who once worked as a military policewoman. CHARITY HIT The Greatest Night In Pop, Netflix
THE entertaining story of We Are The World, the US equivalent of Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas. Getting the song written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie was tough enough, but assembling 46 of the greatest pop stars of the day on one night to get the thing recorded was a nightmare.
FINE FLICK The Truman Show, 6.05pm, Sky Drama
Fusilier Dave Tucker (pictured), were the big breakout stars, both on screen and in music. They sang Unchained Melody in an episode from series four, and it became the bestselling single of 1995. As pop duo Robson & Jerome they had two UK No 1 albums and two No 1 singles. Among the many other well-known cast members are Dougray Scott (Vigil), Lesley Manville (Mum), Samantha Morton (The Burning Girls), Annabelle Apsion (Call The Midwife), Lee Ingleby (The A Word) and Denise Welch (Loose Women).
IN this terrific media satire, Jim Carrey (pictured) delivers a cracking performance as a man unaware his every move is being secretly filmed and broadcast as a 24-hour TV soap. The cast for Peter Weir’s movie also includes Natascha McElhone and Ed Harris.

THIS thriller sequel doesn’t match the original, but it’s still watchable. Roy Scheider plays a police chief who warns a community about a man-eating shark.
ARTIST PROFILE Byrne About Byrne: Arena, 10pm, BBC4
RICH 1988 profile of the painter and playwright John Byrne, who was married to the actress Tilda Swinton and died in November last year. Byrne wrote the 1980s TV drama Tutti Frutti, and he’s joined here by its star, Robbie Coltrane.
