Here’s how Dakota’s getting over her ‘car-crash’ movie

Star of flop film on Mexican break with Coldplay’s Chris

HER latest movie has been panned by the critics and was a flop at the box office when it opened last week.

But Dakota Johnson got over her upset by sunning herself on a trip to Mexico with her musician boyfriend of seven years, Chris Martin.

The Coldplay singer, 46, adopted a meditation pose on the beach and also held hands with Ms Johnson, 34, whom he started dating after he ‘consciously uncoupled’ from former wife Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014.

Ms Johnson – daughter of Hollywood stars Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson – seemed unconcerned about her Marvel movie, Madame Web, being

dubbed a ‘car crash’.

In a scathing one-star review, the Mail’s Brian Viner said she does her best with the ‘feeble plotting’ which is ‘as bad as it sounds’. And the Guardian said the film was a ‘tangled mess’ and a ‘soulless boardroom product’.

Before the $80million film hit box offices last week, Ms Johnson embarked on a stilted press tour and her awkward responses in interviews have gone viral.

During a talk with the American chat show hosts Kelly and Mark, the 50 Shades Of Grey actress admitted she had not watched the film.

She told Magic Radio: ‘I don’t know when I’ll see it. Some day.’ In another interview, she said: ‘You know more about [the movie] than me.’

Ms Johnson was unable to appear enthusiastic for the project, in which she plays a clairvoyant paramedic in New York tasked with saving three women’s lives, and the tour was branded ‘lacklustre’.

The film opened on Valentine’s Day and grossed just $17.5million at the US box office on its opening weekend – some of the worst figures for any film based on a Marvel superhero.
