‘INFLUENCER’ Andrew Tate will be extradited to the UK following claims he was planning to flee Romania.

Andrew, 37, and his brother Tristan, 35, are under investigation in Bucharest for alleged rape and human trafficking. Both have a reputation for promoting misogyny.

They were arrested on Monday night when armed officers raided their home after a European arrest warrant was obtained by Bedfordshire police.

Both men – who have dual British-American nationality – later appeared in court where a judge ruled that they could be extradited to Britain but only after the Romanian proceedings end.

‘Claims he planned to flee’

UK law firm representing four women allegedly raped by the older Tate, a social media influencer who calls himself the ‘king of toxic masculinity’, revealed it had passed on information that he might be planning to flee.

McCue Jury and Partners said: ‘We received information that Tate might have been planning to flee Romania. We wrote to the British police to bring this to their attention and urge them to immediately seek a warrant for Tate’s detention in Romania and extradition to the UK.’

A source told the Mail the information was an online blogger’s video sent to authorities in Britain and Bucharest in which Tate reportedly said he ‘planned to leave Romania’.

Tate appeared on Big Brother in 2016 but was later kicked out after a video emerged of him striking a woman with a belt. The brothers’ lawyer Eugen Vidineac said: ‘In response to McCue Jury’s statement accusing our clients of planning to flee Romania, we unequivocally deny any accusations that Andrew or Tristan Tate intends to abscond from Romania to evade the judicial proceedings.

‘We believe this rumour has originated from a popular online influencer who misconstrued a text message from our clients while streaming live. There is simply no truth to it.’
