QUESTION

Hi Linda, I am in a state of shock. My partner of three years inherited a bungalow in the country from his elderly aunt last year who passed away. We have spent some week-ends together there, and it is a lovely location but very isolated and some distance away from all local amenities.

The problem is my partner is under the impression we should move and live there permanently. I overheard him discussing it with his brother on the phone, but had no discussion with me.

I would definitely not be interested in moving away from family and friends. Since he hasn’t approached me about the matter he seems to be taking it for granted that I would - as he told his brother during their call - come round in time, and be happy anywhere he is, and I should be grateful we will have a forever home.

I am both shocked, annoyed and disappointed. I don’t wish him to know I listened to the chat and am at a loss at what to do. Yours truly, M.

ANSWER

Dear M, It is imperative that you resolve this matter as quickly as possible.

The longer it’s ignored, the more your partner will believe it is okay for him to assume the location for your future home together is there.

Your reaction to the situation is understandable and your partner’s attitude to it is unacceptable.

Any relationship has to be a two-way street, and your partner certainly isn’t taking your point of view under consideration - that’s as long as you have made it clear to him while visiting the location that it would not be acceptable as a permanent home.

Perhaps on the next visit it would help to state to him that it is definitely not a location for you living so far from family and friends. Waste no time on bringing this matter into the open.

÷ FIRST CARD: INTENTION

By drawing this card, the angels ask you to take an inventory of your expectations. What do you expect to happen today, tomorrow, or in the future? These expectations are the seeds of your intentions. An intention means that you have set a goal and intend to achieve it.

Your intentions help drive your experiences. The angels ask you to choose and infuse your intentions with love. See yourself and others as happy, successful, and peaceful.

By holding these spiritually-minded intentions, you help yourself and others. The angels can help you replace negative mental habits with more empowering thoughts, if you ask for their assistance.

÷ ADVICE/OBSTACLE: FOCUSED INTENTION

Tenacity means sticking to a decision and not allowing outside forces to sway you. Imagine yourself like a mighty oak tree, with your roots deeply planted into Mother Earth. Feel your solid strength and steady upward growth.

Know that, no matter what happens, you will succeed! Be in charge of your body, your schedule, and your mind, and keep them focused upon your target.

÷ OUTCOME: VISUALISE SUCCESS

The angels want to boost your confidence and relieve you of worries about this situation. Part of the process involves holding positive visions for yourself and the other people involved.

See yourself doing well in this situation and have faith in a positive outcome.
