Stone’s model pal hits out at Baldwin in film set sex row
THE war of words between Sharon Stone and a Hollywood co-star intensified yesterday after a supermodel friend of the actress stepped into the fray.
Ms Stone has claimed a film producer told her to sleep with actor William Baldwin to improve his performance while making the erotic thriller Sliver in 1993. Baldwin counter-claimed that she had a crush on him.
But now model and I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Janice Dickinson, 69, has slapped down Baldwin’s claim, saying she has no recollection of it.
Ms Stone, 66, said in an interview with Louis Theroux that the producer of Sliver, the late Robert Evans, urged her to have sex with Baldwin, now 61. She joked: ‘You think if I f*** him, he will become a fine actor? Nobody is that good in bed.’
Baldwin, in an online rant, accused her of being hurt that he ‘shunned her advances’. The younger brother of actor Alec claimed Ms Stone told her friend Ms Dickinson that she was going to make Baldwin’s ‘head spin’ and make him ‘fall so hard’ for her.
But Ms Dickinson said in an exclusive statement to the Mail: ‘Sharon never said that to me. I am not sure why Billy Baldwin is bringing this up. That never happened.’
Despite the row, Ms Stone was out and about, attending the Los Angeles launch of Roger Federer’s sunglasses collection with the brand Oliver Peoples on Tuesday night.
Ms Stone looked elegant in a black crushed-velvet trouser suit and a nearly see-through polo neck top and gold statement earrings.
