Bear hug! Show’s star Ayo gets close to our man Mescal
PAUL Mescal has sparked rumours of a new romance with star of The Bear, Ayo Edebiri.
Actress Ms Edebiri, 28, posted a sweet snap for St Patrick’s Day with Mescal, also 28, on Sunday. The pair looked cosy as they beamed in the picture uploaded to her Instagram Stories to mark the national holiday.
She captioned her post: ‘Happy St Paddy’s!’. She leaned on his shoulder in the image and he rested his arm on her leg.
Ms Edebiri is best known for playing chef Sydney Adamu in the comedy-drama series The Bear. She was last reported to be dating actor and writer Colin Burgess but they kept their relationship private.
Mescal and Ms Edebiri were also seen posing for pictures together at the Baftas last month alongside the Kildare man’s All Of Us Strangers co-star Andrew Scott.
It comes just a few weeks after Florence Pugh is said to have attracted the attention of the Normal People star.
The pair reportedly enjoyed one another’s company after the Baftas in London.
Don’t Worry Darling star Ms Pugh, 28, hopped from the Universal party held at the Nomad hotel in Covent Garden, leaving at 1am, before skipping off to the Netflix bash at the Chiltern Firehouse at 1.30am where she remained for the night.
She was seen rubbing shoulders with Mescal and other stars including Rosamund Pike, Lily James and Sacha Baron Cohen at the party.
It came after Ms Pugh and Mescal were seen enjoying dinner together in New York City the week before. The actress was out to celebrate with her Oppenheimer costars after the Christopher Nolan biopic swept the board at the Oscars with seven wins.
Representatives for both Ms Pugh and Mescal were contacted for comment.
Ms Pugh split from her photographer boyfriend Charlie Gooch in October last year. It was previously reported that Mescal had signed up to a dating app following his split from 29-year-old American singer Phoebe Bridgers.
