QUESTION

I have just come back from a 12 month contract with my job and to find out that my girlfriend of two years has been unfaithful with my best friend.I took the contract after much discussion with her, as it was very well paid and would give us a deposit on our own home. She doesn’t know I have found out, and is talking about our plans for a future together. I even bought a ring to propose to her on her birthday next month. I love her dearly and it was a close friend of both of us who told me what was going on. She told this friend that what I didn’t know wouldn’t hurt me and that once I returned, they would stop seeing each other. Should I give her another chance or confront them?

Relationships and friendships are built on mutual respect and trust and unfortunately you have been betrayed in every possible way. You could never look at either of them again in the same way.
