NADIA Forde will swap the catwalk for the underworld after landing her first movie role in an upcoming gangster flick. The 27-year-old is making a move on to the silver screen to star in Once Upon A Time In London. The drama is set in the era before the Kray twins and follows the lives of crime duo Jack “Spot” and Billy Hill. The former I’m A Celeb contestant, who started out her career posing for photo shoots on Dublin’s Grafton Street, has been cast in the role of Jack’s wife Rita. Terry Stone – who rose to fame in the cult film Hell To Pay – plays her onscreen husband, while Leo Gregory, Jamie Foreman and Geoff Bell also star. Nadia isn’t the only Irish star to feature – former boxing champ Joe Egan landed the role of Bears Breath in the film. It has been a busy time for Dubliner Nadia who just recently finished a UK tour of The Wedding Singer. She moved to Australia after her Welsh rugby star boyfriend Dominic Day signed with the Melbourne Rebels but Nadia will jet back to London next week to begin filming. She and 31-year-old Dominic have been together for two years after meeting through mutual pals Irish rugby star Peter Stringer and his wife Debbie. They will be thousands of miles apart for two months while Nadia is shooting Once Upon A Time In London. But the former Celebrity Masterchef Ireland star previously said long distance relationships don’t faze her. Nadia told the Irish Mirror: “He’s a great guy and we’re just enjoying it for the moment. It is nice – we each have our own lives but we’re experiencing things together. “I don’t think it would work if I had a guy who was telling me I had to give up everything to be with him. And I don’t think he would want to be with me if I was that kind of girl either. “I get itchy feet and I’m always like ‘What’s next?’.”
