Pogba on fast track
PAUL POGBA is on course to return from injury for Manchester United earlier than expected. The world record £89million signing strained a hamstring in the 1-0 Europa League last-16 win over FC Rostov last week. Boss Jose Mourinho blamed the injury on an “accumulation of fatigue”, with the France star having played 41 of the team’s 48 games this season. But Pogba is understood to have made good progress and could feature in the clash with Everton at Old Trafford on April 4. But there is no desire to rush him back and risk aggravating the problem, which could mean United’s medical staff deciding to wait until the trip to Sunderland on April 9. Mourinho is keen to have Pogba fully fit for the Europa League quarterfinal tie with Anderlecht, as well as the Premier League visit by Chelsea to Old Trafford. He already has injuries to defenders Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, who both pulled out of the England squad. Daley Blind suffered a head injury against Rostov but is expected to be ready to play against West Brom a week today.
