Barry’s up for IFTA Rising Star award

LOVE/HATE star Barry Keoghan is one of the nominees for the Rising Star award at next month’s IFTA awards. The 24-year-old, who played cat killer Wayne in the RTE drama, got the nod for his performance in Rebecca Daly’s Mammal. Actress Seana Kerslake is also in line for her turn in Dollhouse. She is up against Patrick Gibson for his performance in Kit Ryan’s Property Of The State and Netflix’s The OA. Writer and director Peter Foott’s debut The Young Offenders secured his place on the list. IFTA chief Aine Moriarty said: “This award showcases four superb talents who have proved themselves to be world class.”
