JIM CHANGES RECORD

- BY PAT NOLAN

Dublin v Roscommon Tonight, Croke Pk, 7pm (eir Sport)

DUBLIN, unbeaten in 34 League and Championship games, face Roscommon, winless in seven, at Croke Park this evening. There can surely be only one outcome. The bookies certainly think so with Jim Gavin’s (right) side an unbackable 1/20 to win and thereby break the record they currently hold with the 1928-33 Kerry team after the stalemate in Tralee last Saturday night. Moreover, a Dublin win, or even a draw, would seal Roscommon’s relegation to Division Two after just two campaigns in the top flight and round off a miserable 12 months for them after last year’s League had gone so well for the first five rounds. VERDICT: Dublin
