Nation nets EU award at green gongs

THE nation’s recycling efforts are to be recognised across Europe at a green forum in Malta. Ireland is to be commended as Best Practice recycling leader on compliance and recycling. Elizabeth O’reilly of Waste Electrial and Electronic Equipment Ireland said: “We are delighted our efforts and those of our members have helped Ireland to become a leader and exhibit best practices in many aspects of the circular economy. “In doing so, we are delivering on the ambitions of the WEEE directive to position Europe as world leaders in e-waste recycling and recovery.”
