Going up... Life imitating art

Thandie Newton: as much of a bad girl off screen as she is on… boo hiss! (to her character, obviously – not Line Of Duty itself, which is AMAZING, will be much missed after this Sunday’s – waaaah! etc – final instalment, and needs to come back ASASASASAP).

All of us, at one time or another in our lives, have wondered why there isn’t a Pug Festival. Now, at last, there is and, better still, it comes to you rather than the tedious other way round – it’s touring. There’s also no need to bring any of the usual festival essentials – the Pug Agility Course sounds like it will be mind-altering enough.

Going down... Nike hare Rabbit trainers had a brief moment in 2015 but are now apparently making something of a come hop back. Two Mulanthemed Mcdonald’s dipping sauces found in a car have just sold on ebay. They were 19 years old. Adding to the bafflement, it turns out that ‘Mulan-themed’ is more just ‘the word Mulan written on the label’. If the car owner was embarrassed by admitting so publicly that he hasn’t cleaned it in nearly two decades, at least he can get it professionally valeted now. He’ll have quite a bit of change from the €13,000 he’s just made, too.
