S-ELF DRIVE CLASS

Mercedes’ flagship s-class was the best selling luxury saloon last year and in July a new upgraded model will go on sale. The arrival of a new s-class is always interesting, especially if you’re a bit of a gadget nerd, because there’s usually a host of new technology to get excited about. This latest car is no different with an emphasis on driver aid systems, several of which are a step further towards full autonomous driving. For example, the Distronic proximity control and active steer assist systems now use information from a road surface scanner to approach bumps. on top of this are new engines including a V8 petrol with cylinder deactivation to save fuel and a new inline six-cylinder, plus a plug-in hybrid powertrain for the more eco-conscious.
