More electric news from shanghai is that Volvo, owned by Chinese giant Geely, will soon put its first fully electric model into production. It’ll be based on the current small car platform and will be built in one of the company’s Chinese factories. The car will go on sale globally in 2019. Volvo says it plans to have a plug-in hybrid model in all its ranges and that it will sell a million electric or plug-in cars by 2025.
