I get whacked in the street for playing Fair City bad boy Ciaran

FAIR City star Johnny Ward has been getting “whacked across the head with handbags” for playing kidnapper Ciaran Holloway. The Dubliner has been part of one of the longest running and most talked about storylines in the history of the hit RTE soap. And as things look set to come to a head this week, Johnny admitted he feels lucky to have taken on the dark role – even with the backlash. He said: “I’ve been blessed, I really have. Right at the start, they told me all this top secret information that I had to keep from the rest of the cast. “I couldn’t say anything to anyone. No one else in the cast knew. It’s been tough, but it’s been a blast.” The Carrigstown mechanic took drastic action kidnapping Katy as he wanted to get revenge on her brother Emmet for breaking his sister Tessa’s heart after a holiday romance. And it looks like the star played his villainous part convincingly. Johnny joked: “I’m getting women whacking me across the head with handbags!” Despite the mixed reaction to his character, Johnny admitted it will be difficult when his time in Carrigstown comes to an end. He told TV Now Magazine: “I don’t know how it’s going to end for Ciaran. “I can’t see him sitting in Mccoy’s in two weeks’ time or in two years’ time, reminiscing with Eoghan about kidnapping Katy. “When it does come eventually to an end, I’m really going to miss it.”

JOHNNY Ward has told how he gets women on the street hitting him because of his role as Ciaran in Fair City. The Dubliner revealed people are furious with him for kidnapping Katy. Looks like he’s feeling the price of fame.
