Kate was having fun, then this angry woman appeared ONLOOKER AT THE FASHION FOR RELIEF GALA

SUPERMODEL Kate Moss was involved in a 2am bust-up at a glitzy Cannes bash. The 43-year-old was a guest at Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief gala on Sunday night when she was targeted by an angry fellow partygoer. Kate’s friends, including Mary J Blige, jumped to the model’s defence and separated the two women. A shocked onlooker said: “Kate was having a great time with her mates. “They were all dancing, and then this woman came out of nowhere and said something to Kate. “The woman was really angry. Kate tried to asked her what she was talking about. She was in shock, the music was really loud and it was hard to understand what everyone was saying. “But the woman seemed really aggressive, so a few people, including Mary, dragged Kate away so the situation didn’t escalate. It was completely ridiculous.” After the altercation, a fellow partygoer was then punched by the angry woman before Kate tried to approach her again. The reveller said: “I spoke to the woman, but she wouldn’t give me her name and she started shouting at me – and punched me in the arm. “At that point, Kate tried to walk over again to speak to her to see what her problem was, but Kate’s friends got involved again and dragged her away. “Poor Kate was just trying to have a good time.” Kate was then seen having a heart-to-heart with singer Mary. The onlooker added: “They clearly get on very well and seemed to be having a proper deep and meaningful chat afterwards.” Kate was on the top table with Naomi, while Sir Philip Green brought along his wife Tina and daughter Chloe. Earlier on in the night, Mossy had walked down the catwalk at the annual event, which is in support of Save The Children. She was joined by Naomi as well as models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton and actor Antonio Banderas. The catwalk show was followed by a dinner where guests, including Sarah Ferguson and Princess Beatrice, enjoyed a threecourse meal. Sarah said: “I love Naomi, it’s going to be a fabulous night.” By the end of the evening there were only 30 partygoers left, including Naomi and Kate. The source added: “The party raged on until 5am. It was one hell of a bash. Everyone was having the time of their lives. There was a lot of champagne flowing, people were really letting their hair down. Even though Kate had an altercation, she soon forgot about it and carried on dancing.” Kate’s sister Lottie Moss also attended with her friends and put in a bid for a €5,780 private jet flight at the private auction. It was recently reported that Kate was “pining” for her on-off boyfriend Count Nikolai von Bismarck, 30, who has been in rehab in America. Blood-drinking Count Nikolai’s family told him they would pay for treatment if he travelled to the States. The society photographer – who once admitted drinking cow’s blood on an African shoot – crossed the Atlantic in a bid to curb his wild lifestyle. The count’s socialite mother Debbie, 57, is a friend of fashion icon Kate but is still said to believe she is a bad influence on Nikolai. Naomi turned 47 yesterday and she told our sister paper the Sunday Mirror how she “doesn’t give s*** about getting older.” She said: “I don’t drink alcohol, I can have a great time without it. But I couldn’t give a s*** about my birthday. I

think birthdays are more about the women who have you and that is my mother, Valerie. “So I always think, ‘it’s my birthday, but my mother pushed me out on that day’. “I will like to have a good dance if I can, though.” Naomi also recently opened up about wanting to have children of her own, saying: “I think about having children all the time. But now, with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want.” She added she would not want to be a single parent, saying: “I do want a father figure. I think it’s important.”
