SMILEY CYRUS IS LOOKING UP

CYRUS CHRISTIE has warned that Middlesbrough are “starting to click” into promotion gear. The defender is confident that Garry Monk’s men are ready to stamp their authority on the scramble at the top of the table. Ahead of tackling QPR today, Boro earned a hard-fought draw at Aston Villa with 10 men in midweek. And Christie (left) said: “We have learned about the character in the squad and how well we have bonded. “There is a great togetherness here and we all put our bodies together on the line for each other. “We have kept clean sheets and our attacking play is good so it is all starting to click. The signs are positive for us. “We have to stamp our authority on the league and take charge of games starting with QPR. “The fans are seeing the effort we are putting in to make things happen and achieve our aim.”
