Ford invisible driver trial

-

DRIVERS were dressed to look like car seats and appear invisible in a trial of driverless motors. Ford was testing if signals from a bar of lights on windscreens could replace human gestures like hand waves or nods to other drivers. The US trial aimed to see “how society in general is going to interact with these vehicles”. Tester Andy Schaudt said: “It’s awkward when somebody’s looking right at you. You’re behind this hood and they don’t see you.”
