WAR CRY OVER WOLVES

-

MARK WARBURTON reckons Wolves made a statement of intent with their big-spending summer. They broke the Championship transfer record to sign Porto’s £15million Ruben Neves, took Diogo Jota on loan from Atletico Madrid and head to the City Ground today with just one loss in seven league games. Nottingham Forest boss Warburton (below) said: “It’s early days but I saw their intent in the summer. “They were certainly trying to make a statement and, like many clubs, want to reach the promised land of the Premier League. “They are a big club and a talented team, but so are we. We‘re at home and looking forward to it.”
