The Jools in the crown of some won­der­ful acts

The Breed­ers, Jools Hol­land and The Je­sus and Mary Chain are all in town this week. Ivory tick­ler, Jools Hol­land (inset) hits Dublin’s 3Arena in Dublin to­mor­row ngiht with his Rhythm and Blues Or­ches­tra.

For this new tour, Hol­land will also be joined by Gil­son Lavis and guest vo­cal­ists Ruby Turner and Louise Mar­shall.

Tickets are priced from €54.

Mean­while, over in the Academy Bri­tish Glam rock­ers The Dark­ness play, tickets priced €30.

After re­unit­ing in 2013 to per­form their sem­i­nal al­bum, The Last Splash, The Breed­ers are back on the road again and play Vicar Street on Mon­day night (tickets €35). Kim and Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpher­son have teased fans with a new track Wait in the Car which is the re­united lineup’s first stu­dio re­lease since the 1993 LP.

Also on Mon­day night Swedish singer and song­writer Zara Lars­son will play The Olympia The­atre as part of her Euro­pean tour, tickets €26.40.

The Horrors play The Tivoli The­atre on Tues­day night (tickets €24) while shoegaz­ing le­gends The Je­sus and Mary Chain are set to rock Vicar Street, €40.

After a cou­ple of Sold-out Ir­ish shows last year and head­line sets at Sea Ses­sions along­side a sell-out at The Gal­way Arts Festival Badly Drawn Boy makes a re­turn to Dublin play­ing Whe­lan’s on Wed­nes­day night, tickets €27.50.
