WORRIED MUM’S APPEAL TO FIND MISSING ROISIN

Jean woke to find daughter, 34, was gone

- BY HELEN WHITEHOUSE

THE mother of missing Roisin Dolan made an emotional appeal for her daughter to come home yesterday and said: “We want you back.”

Roisin, 34, was last seen in her hometown of Far Finisklin, Co Sligo, last Wednesday.

Worried Jean urged anyone who may know of Roisin’s whereabouts to come forward. She added: “All I know is I woke up one morning around 10 o’clock and she was missing...there was no Roisin.

“She had been in her bed for the previous four, or five days.

“Just lying in bed and not really saying anything, not eating, not talking, kind of like a zombie. Roisin would just be in the room there, on the bed, a black hole.” Jean said this was unusual behaviour for her daughter and it was unlike her to take to her bed for that amount of time.

She added: “I’m sure that people know Roisin, she’s a very likeable person. I don’t know what to make of it, she just vanished. If anyone has any feeling, you know what it’s like to love somebody very much and to wake up and see that vacant and gone and not know where the person went, it’s heartbreaking.

“I don’t understand anything, I don’t understand what went on.” Jean said she didn’t know if anything had upset her daughter. She told Niall Delaney on North West Today on Ocean FM: “Roisin if you are out there, if you are listening please, if you hear me please make contact in some way. We want you back.”

Roisin is described is 5ft 5ins with dark brown hair tied in a ponytail, brown eyes and of medium build.

She was last seen wearing a cream top with a Polar Bear logo and the words “Becool”, combat style trousers and hiking shoes.

Anyone who may have any information should contact the gardai in Sligo on 071 915000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
