You and Me are playing Dublin..

Dublin duo Daviis are gearing up for a show in the city in support of their new single.

The band – cousins Gavin (vocals/guitar) and Keith Davis (drums) - released their debut EP at the start of this year, selling out the upstairs section of Whelan’s for their very first live gig.

Speaking to The Beat, they said: “I think we were definitely surprised by the response we got at our show in Whelan’s which has spurred us to keep going.

“Selling out the show was such a complement to the hard work we had put into putting it together and having the whole room sing back the lyrics to our final song Eager was even more so.”

Their new single You and Me was recorded with multi-talented Irish producer Gavin Glass.

“Following the response from the first EP we’ve put more focus on individual songs and so we created You and Me which seeks a more electronic hook heavy style than songs such as Eager, the single off our first EP. We are really happy with how the single has turned out and the response we’ve gotten from people.

“You and Me is the direction we’ll be going with future releases, in that its music that everyone can enjoy but its contains all of our musical styles.”

Daviis are set to play Dublin’s Grand Social on October 22, “alongside some excellent Irish upcoming talent including Wichita, Native Ensemble and ROE.”

They said: “We really focused on putting a show together where all bands playing would complement each other’s styles so it’s going to be a good one.”
