Shocking images of wild celebrations in pub after club wins hurling final
A YOUNG man poses with a GAA hurling cup at a wild party surrounded by two strippers.
The celebrations, which appeared to involve a sex act, took place after St Patrick’s Ballyragget won the county intermediate final in Kilkenny on Sunday.
Shocking videos and images have emerged of the man cavorting with busty naked women in a pub.
Secretary John Glennon said: “The club will co-operate fully into any investigation into the matter.”
X-RATED celebrations involving strippers and what appears to be a sex act broke out after a GAA club won a county final.
Shocking videos and images have emerged of a party after St Patrick’s intermediate hurling victory in Kilkenny on Sunday.
The sordid images show a young male being entertained by two topless blondes as others look on.
A cup is being held by a man with a naked stripper either side of him.
In a photo, which was shared on social media site Snapchat, a woman appears to be performing a sex act on the man.
In another video, the busty woman is seen stripping off her pink bra before the man swings it above his head.
She then dances close to him as he touches her breasts.
The man, dressed in his underpants, is then seen lifting the trophy above his head.
A representative of the Ballyragget club, which secured a 1-19 to 2-10 victory over Graigue Ballycallan at Nowlan Park, said it “wishes to state the photographs were taken at a private event”.
After being sent the images by the Irish Mirror, secretary John Glennon said: “The club will co-operate fully into any investigation into the matter.”
The wild party took place in a pub after St Patrick’s success.
The club had lost three county finals in recent years.
A bar member of staff last night said she could not comment as she hadn’t been working at the time.
A Kilkenny County Board official added he wasn’t aware of the matter when contacted.
Seamus Reade said: “I haven’t seen anything, no. I saw photos that were taken at Nowlan Park that Sunday all right.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I haven’t a clue. It’s the first I’ve heard about it.
“I’m not aware of anything and I’m not in a position to check either.”
Speaking on local radio KCLR yesterday evening, reporter Maryann Vaughan added: “Ned Quinn, chairman of the county board, he said there’s a meeting with the club tonight to establish the facts around this issue.
“Obviously the videos are there, the pictures are there but who was responsible for what went on, who was there and how the cup got there?
“The GAA is going to be required to make some statement about the kind of culture involved in this.”
The video sparked a huge reaction online with some people slamming the behaviour while others said it is “just a bit of fun”.
One man wrote: “Is that how you celebrate down there? Talk about taking it to another level.”
Another fumed: “Disgraceful – hope their families and children see this.”
Defending the antics, one woman said: “God, people love nothing than a good aul moan. Let them have a bit of craic. They’re harming nobody.”
Another person added: “Its a f ***** g party, relax.”
