PULIS BACKS BAGGIES TO WEATHER STORM

TONY PULIS has warned it could get worse before it gets better for a West Brom team who have not won for more than two months.

Albion, just two points above the relegation zone, host leaders Manchester City today and then take on champions Chelsea and in-form Spurs.

Pulis, who guided the Baggies to a 10th-place finish last season, said: “We’ve a tough run so might dip a bit more until we get out of it.

“But we’ll be doing what we’ve done for the past three years and that’s everyone working together through good and bad.

“You have to point yourself into the wind, take all weathers that come at you and get on with it.

“We’ve fallen down on certain things in games that we haven’t before.

“You have to stick with it, keep going and believe in what you’re doing. I don’t get too carried away when it’s going well and too despondent when it’s not. You’re only a result or two away from getting it all clicking again.

“It’s tipped against us. Last year it tipped with us. That breeze is blowing a bit stronger and you have to make sure you lift your head and keep walking through it.”

Pulis (above) has had stick from fans in recent weeks. Albion have just seven league wins this calendar year and patience is wearing thin.

Pulis added: “John Williams is an experienced chairman who has been in the Premier League with other clubs and he’s most probably seen the motion of the waves. They don’t run smoothly all the time, they move up and down.

“That’s the way this league is. It’s never ever plain sailing, you go up and you go down.”
