DELE ALLI scored twice as Tottenham humbled mighty Real Madrid.

He then warned rivals that Spurs are determined to join Europe’s elite.

The England star spearheade­d a memorable victory, with the Londoners rolling back the years to produce one of their great European nights.

Alli said: “It was a fantastic display by us. We

knew if we stuck to our gameplan and were solid at back then we’d get chances.

“We’re very happy. I wasn’t surprised we were dominant.

“We don’t want to just compete with these teams, we want to beat them. I’m happy to get two goals but more importantl­y it was a win.”

Team-mate Christian Eriksen, who score Tottenham’s third, added: “We played a profession­al game. If we had more composure we could have got more. We take this on to the next stage. We’re happy to be through.” Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed a late consolatio­n goal in a defeat that leaves Real boss Zinedine Zidane under mounting pressure.

The Bernabeu legend watched as his men were taken apart by a superb Tottenham display. A crowd of 83,782 saw Spurs get a result that will make made the rest of Europe sit up and take notice and which puts them into the knockout stages of the Champions league from a tough-looking group that featured Real and Borussia Dortmund.
