I had children to serve God as terrorists

THE British ex-wife of a top-ranking ISIS terrorist has said she only had children to raise them to be killers.

Tania Choudhury spoke about her radicalisation into “jihadi hardcore” after the September 11 attack on New York’s Twin Towers in 2001.

The mum-of-four revealed her dream to have seven boys with her now ex-husband John Georgelas and for them to become terrorists.

Currently living in Plano, Texas, the 33-year-old said: “I’ve had these children for one reason only and that was so they could serve God as Muslims – as mujahideen.”

“Our dreams were to have land of our own, raise a family and train them to be assassins... soldiers and then, eventually, go join the jihad.”

Choudhury grew up in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, before meeting Muslim convert Georgelas online and marrying him, aged 19, in 2004.

They had three boys and the family travelled to Syria in 2013 to join ISIS.

One interview said they “fantasised about becoming a family of itinerant holy warriors, a sort of Islamic version of the Von Trapps, substituting slaughter of infidels for Alpine tunes”.

But after a few months, she fled to Dallas, where she had her fourth boy. Now divorced, Choudhury says she has rejected ISIS and is dating an IT worker named Craig in the US, where her children also live.

Were she in the UK, she would probably have been arrested. In the US she is protected by freedom-ofexpression laws in the Constitution.
