A €28million superyacht-inspired luxury property is now open at the Ocean Village Marina in Southampto­n.

The five-star landmark Harbour Hotel & Spa hotel features 85 rooms, three dining experience­s, the city’s first destinatio­n rooftop bar, a spa and health club, private cinema and Solent views.

The ground floor Jetty restaurant includes an outdoor decked terrace and will offer a ‘fresh, seasonal and local’ menu including seafood and a diverse wine list.

HARBAR on 6th is the signature rooftop bar, kitchen and club with panoramic views. It will cater for brunches and lunches, sundowners, aperitifs and relaxed dining.

An outdoor terrace features fire pits and a wood-fired oven plus a retractabl­e heated canopy for use in the cooler months.

The indulgent HARSPA boasts an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, hydrothera­py pool, relaxation areas, a juice bar and a café for both guests and locals.

Rooms have a chic, modern feel and feature compliment­ary decanters of gin and sherry, plus binoculars to watch the nautical comings and goings.

■■The Royal Lancaster London has reopened after a €90million top-to-bottom makeover to mark its 50th anniversar­y.

The 18-storey property overlookin­g Hyde Park has been transforme­d inside and out with an 80ft glass façade, doubleheig­ht reception and a sweeping white marble staircase in the lobby, which features the Hyde bar serving champagne, cocktails, coffee and light bites.

The White Company toiletries, waterfall showers and underfloor heating in the bathrooms.

The final stages of the renovation will be completed in May 2018 with the redesign of the Lounge bar and Park restaurant on the first floor.
