A RY SMILE FOR PAT’S BOSS LIAM

- BY MICHAEL SCULLY

RYAN BRENNAN has been snapped up by St Patrick’s Athletic.

The 26-year-old

(above) has left behind the chaos at Bray after scoring seven goals in 29 league games for the Seasiders.

It remains to be seen if he will link up with older brother Killian in Inchicore but the club are hopeful of retaining the veteran’s services.

“Ryan is a very talented player and will add real quality to our team,” said Saints boss Liam Buckley.

“He has amassed a lot of appearances in the league with his previous clubs and had a good season last year with Bray, so we believe his experience and talent can help us push on and improve in 2018.”

Buckley also confirmed that Ian Bermingham, Conan Byrne and Graham Kelly have signed on for next term. He said: “I’m delighted to have the lads in our squad for the coming season.

“Ian has been a tremendous servant to the club, which is incredible considering he is still only 28.

“I’ve worked with Conan Byrne for many years now. He is another fans’ favourite, so I know everyone will be happy to see him back in Inchicore.

“Graham Kelly really stepped up last season and became a leader.”

MADDEN’S Shamrock Rovers contract has not been renewed – a year on from being described as the best right-back in the league by Hoops boss Stephen Bradley.
