Bradshaw 22 pen LOSING to his boyhood club Wolves pumped up Mark Little to score his first Bolton goal.

The defender broke his duck on his 17th appearance since joining from Bristol City in summer.

The Trotters were thrashed by Wolves last week, but returned to winning ways against Barnsley and finally escaped the Championship drop zone.

And Little (above), who came through the Molineux academy, will be backing the table-toppers when they face relegation rivals Birmingham tonight.

He said: “I despised Wolves last Saturday, but I’ll be cheering them on against Birmingham!

“I was extremely frustrated about the result last week and that gave me a bit more fire in the belly to put it right at home.

“We were on such a good run before, we only had one defeat in nine games and that is just an amazing achievement in any league. It doesn’t get recognised due to the draws in there.

“To be unbeaten for such a long time and to have that blip, we had to set the record straight. We’re not down and out, we are heading upwards. We just had a blip.”

Gary Madine (above) grabbed a double before Little’s thunderbolt to earn Bolton victory, despite Tom Bradshaw’s penalty.

Tykes boss Paul Heckingbottom slammed his side after they recorded a fourth straight defeat and five games without a win.

“The problem is we can’t always rely on scoring four goals to win a game,” he said.

“We either have to change the mentality of the players or change the players.

“We were wasteful at one end when we were on top and naive at the other conceding goals.”
