MEGHAN Markle will become the first royal bride-to-be to join the Queen and other senior royals at Sandringham on Christmas Day.

Traditionally only those already married into the Royal Family are asked to attend the festivities.

The invite suggests US actress Meghan has already been welcomed into the Firm after her whirlwind romance with Prince Harry, 33.

They are expected to stay with Wills and Kate in their country home Anmer Hall on the estate in Norfolk.

Kensington Palace said: “You can expect to see the Duke and

Duchess of Cambridge and

Prince Harry and Ms Markle at Sandringham on Christmas

Day.” Meghan’s first DIVORCEE Meghan’s love match with Harry keeps on showing the royals are not quite the sticklers for tradition that many had imagined.

Their marriage will make the family more multicultural and it proves you don’t have to be an aristocrat or from an affluent background to be deemed suitable to wed into the Firm. Clearly, divorce is no longer an issue either.

And now we see the “rules” about festive appearance at the estate is expected to swell the size of the crowd of well-wishers as the royals walk to the 11am service at St Mary Magdalene Church before returning to the main house for lunch.

The family will watch the Queen’s Christmas broadcast at 3pm before playing cards or board games.

Boxing Day involves a pheasant shoot but Meghan, 36, is thought to oppose blood sports so is unlikely to join in. Meghan, due to wed Harry in May, is also expected to be at the Queen’s festive lunch at Buckingham Palace next week. When Kate and Wills were engaged in 2010 they spent Christmas with her family. Her first appearance at Sandringham was after they married in 2011. other halves needing to be married into the Royal Family before they are welcome at Sandringham at Christmas are also being bent – or were never set in stone as people had assumed.

This is a modern marriage in every sense, and it has served to show the royals embody modern values.

The added bonus is the public will get to see Meghan and Harry looking loved-up together on Christmas morning as they walk to church. The photos can only boost the royal brand.

Harry revealed in the engagement interview that the corgis had taken to Meghan straight away.

It seems from this Christmas invitation the Queen feels the same way.
