Peter Sharkey A RAPIST described by a judge as “a paedophile of the dangerous kind” has been jailed for 18 years.
Peter Sharkey, 47, sexually abused six children – aged from nine to 16 – during his threedecade reign of terror.
Justice Mccarthy said the offending was “a gross breach of trust” and constituted “the most extreme category of offence”.
Sharkey pleaded guilty at Dublin’s Central Criminal Court to three counts of indecent assault between 1987 and 1990 MYLEENE Klass claims this is just “another day at the office” for her, but there are few people who dress like that for work.

The pervert, from Mucknow Street, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan also admitted one count of rape with an object in 1998 or 1999 and one count of rape in 2014. All the abuse took place at addresses in Co Louth.
Mr Justice Patrick Mccarthy paid tribute to the victims, saying the “trigger point” occurred when one victim, now 19, went to gardai in April 2015 to report she had been raped.
This resulted in the other five victims coming forward to report what the judge termed “extremely serious” abuse.
He said: “Although they were isolated while the abuse was occurring, perhaps there is some comfort now in realising that together they brought him to justice.”
Mr Justice Mccarthy said several comments made by the complainants in their victim impact statements “made for very striking reading”.
Two of the victims were sisters and one told the court: “He stole a piece of my soul and today I’m here to reclaim it.”
Justice Mccarthy said the offending was “a gross breach of trust” and constituted “the most extreme category of offence”.
He imposed consecutive sentences and ordered Sharkey be supersived by probation services for five years upon release. His name will be put on the sex offenders register.
