HUGHTON: I’D VOTE FOR SEAN
row, have an 11-point gap at the top of the Premier League and are playing some of the most attractive football ever seen in England.
But Brighton manager Hughton (above) says he would vote for Dyche if the poll for top boss was being held right now.
He said: “Do I think he should be considered alongside Pep? Yes, I do.
“Everybody is looking at Manchester City and saying they have been outstanding – and they have this huge gap at the top of the division.
“You have to do it over a whole season, but if you’re asking me right now then, yes, Sean’s achievement for what he’s done at
Burnley is right up there with City.”
When you consider Dyche took unfashionable Burnley up to fourth place in the table this week, on a budget that would barely buy one
City star, then
Hughton has a point.
And the Brighton man knows a thing about Manager of the Year awards. Not only is he a committed member of the League Managers Association, but he was also named boss of the year in the Championship in 2010 and 2016.
Hughton added: “When you look at the job a manager has done, you must look at the size of the club and most importantly the resources and who you are allowed to bring in.” Man Utd £100,792
