Resolved.. to start 2018 with a bang

-

My resolution is to get back into the gym because I’m just doing walking at the moment – I want to get back into the swimming and stuff like that.

I’m going to try my best to get off my vape – I’ve been on it for three years and I want to quit it. I’m going to try and be a bit more mindful of waste as we’ve just moved house and we have accumulated a serious amount of plastic. So this year we’re having a no plastic rule. The last few months have been extremely busy and I haven’t dedicated enough time to exercise.

So I’m going to try and get out and walk every day. There’s a new baby on the way so hopefully I can stick to that plan.

Instead of saying to friends the old classic “We must meet up for drinks”, I’m going to try and make

those drinks happen. We’re in New York for New Year – just Richard and I – so we started 2018 with a bang in the Big Apple.

And I hope for continued success and to get fit for 2018.

I have grown to love the idea of not so much resolutions but the fact that as we grow year by year we change – our interests or priorities, relationships and possibly surroundings. So in that way I look at it as a little re-evaluation to see if what I’m doing is still, well, me? How can I do a little bit better for me this new year and do more of what makes me flourish?

My New Year resolution, number one, is less time on social media, so Snapchat hibernation. Number two is grow my cooking repertoire! Number three is starting a book club on Today FM’S Weekend

Breakfast.
