New Year fireworks for Conor
CONOR MCGREGOR got his New Year celebrations underway with a firework display – on Twitter!
The Notorious took to social media to have a swipe at Khabib Nurmagomedov - the unbeaten Russian who many observers believe poses a massive threat to the Dubliner.
Nurmagomedov improved his undefeated record to 25-0 with a signature mauling of Brazilian striker Edson Barboza on Saturday night at UFC 219.
The Lightweight contender immediately forced himself into a three-way championship shake-up that consists of belt holder Mcgregor and interim champion Tony Ferguson.
At the post-fight press conference, the Russian claimed he would happily take on Mcgregor and Ferguson in the same night.
“Tony or Conor, don’t matter,” he said during the post-fight press conference. “Maybe if the UFC approves, I can fight with these guys in the same night. I swear, no joke.”
Mcgregor barked back at the Dagestani icon, disagreeing with many experts and fighters who lauded Nurmagomedov’s return after a year on the sidelines.
He said: “That Dagestani was dog sh*t the other night you’s are all nuts. Game full of sloppy bums asking to be slept. Pay me my worth and Kings back.
“Get on your f*cking knees and beg me. Otherwise I don’t give a bol**x. My whiskey is out and thats Diddy bread.”
Dana White has asserted that Mcgregor will face Ferguson to unify the lightweight titles.
