DANCING With The Stars contestant Alannah Beirne is single – but not ready to mingle – as she throws all her energy into the top show.

The model has revealed she has split from her long-term love Paddy Davis.

And Alannah said she is dealing with the separation by launching herself into gruelling rehearsals for the ratings winner, which returned to RTE last Sunday.

Despite going their separate ways, the 24-year-old told how she and the marketing guru are still pals.

Alannah told the Irish Mirror: “We split up a couple of months ago.

“It has been fine and he has been successful and we are still in contact and still friends.”

Paddy even sent his ex a text before her dancing debut last week on the RTE One show.

Alannah, who was also a finalist in Britain And Ireland’s Next Top Model, is not rushing into another romance anytime soon because she wants to concentrate on her Dancing With The Stars role.

She said: “I am focusing on the dancing, I really want to learn and I don’t want to get distracted from that.

“Romance is not on my mind at the moment.”

Alannah replaced former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh after she was forced to pull out of the show after suffering a broken foot.

However, starting late was not a deterrent and she is embracing the challenge.

Alannah, from Naas, Co Kildare, said: “It has been amazing, but obviously quite tough in rehearsals.

“Meeting everyone for the first time was quite nerve wracking as well.

“They are all so lovely though and they have welcomed me into the group with open arms. I’m loving every second.”
