HARRISON REED is eyeing a repeat of his last visit to Chelsea – except this time with him on the pitch rather than in the stands.

Reed sat among the away fans two seasons ago to watch his parent club Southampton notch a 3-1 win at then-champions Chelsea, one of the home defeats that contributed to Jose Mourinho’s demise.

But tonight Reed will be right at the heart of the action, and part of the Norwich side, aiming to pull off a third-round replay shock at Stamford Bridge.

The on-loan midfielder, 22, said: “I wanted to experience watching a top Premier

League team against my side.

“I missed out on going as part of the matchday squad, but didn’t want to miss the whole day.

So, I went with one of my mates and stands.

“With my ginger hair, I got recognised, and had a few fans come up and talk to me. And I watched the team win, which was great.

“But, obviously, I am looking forward to walking out of the tunnel and being part of the matchday squad this time.”

Reed has impressed during his temporary spell with the sat in the Canaries and has added incentive to perform again against the Blues.

He said: “I’ve played several games in the league for Southampton but, to go back and play more, I need to show I can compete, and put in a very good performance against a very good Premier League team.

“That is something I am definitely looking forward to doing against Chelsea.”

Norwich will face a new-look Blues side with Antonio Conte (left) set to make wholesale changes. A number of players, whose game-time has been limited this season, including David Luiz, Willian, Pedro and Michy Batshuayi, are set to feature, while Conte also raised eyebrows by subbing tired starman Eden Hazard after 58 minutes against Leicester on Saturday.

But when asked if Hazard – subbed in seven of his last eight appearances – is happy with Conte’s careful approach to managing his fitness, the Italian said: “I’m the coach. I decide.

“It’s not important if one player is happy or not. My first task is to do the best for the team and club. Not to make every player happy.

“Otherwise, we’d risk finishing 20th in the table. There is always this question about whether I’m worried about making my players happy.

“No.

I am worried only to win.”
