‘Meth lab and €450k drugs’ seized in raid

Equipment uncovered A SUSPECTED crystal meth lab was uncovered yesterday as gardai seized drugs worth €450,000.

A 50-year-old man was arrested after the raid in Walkinstow­n, Co Dublin.

Gardai attached to the Crumlin Drugs Unit also found powders, chemical compounds, scales and a stove at the premises.

A spokesman said: “As part of ongoing operations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs a search operation was conducted.

“Pending analysis, the estimated street value of the drugs seized is thought to be in excess of €450,000.

“Other items seized include plastic containers, a gas mask, plastic funnels and parapherna­lia. The investigat­ion is ongoing.” BY and

THE husband of missing woman Tina Satchwell begged his wife to “come home” last night in an emotional TV appeal.

The 45-year-old was last seen at her home in Youghal, Co Cork, on March 20 last year and it’s “tearing the family apart”. In an interview with RTE’S Prime Time, heartbroke­n husband Richard said: “Tina, come home. There is nobody mad at you. My arms are open.”

Tina’s cousin Sarah said the family still had no idea what happened to their loved one.

And recalling the moment she found out her cousin was missing, Sarah said: “I actually found out from Richard. He said that she was gone missing. He asked did we have any contact with her and I said no.

“So then I contacted my family in England, they had no contact so then we got very worried that nobody had seen or heard from her.

“It’s tearing us apart not knowing where she is. She has never gone missing before.” Asked what she thinks happened to her she said: “I really couldn’t answer that question.

“It’s just puzzling, mystery.”

She added that she has many happy memories of Tina: “She was fun.

“She just loved her fashion, swimming, walking, just everyday kind of stuff.” it’s a complete
