Dani in Dyer straits

-

WITH her feisty personality, she was expected to be one of the stars of Survival Of The Fittest’s battle of the sexes.

But last night Dani Dyer – daughter of Eastenders’ star Danny – was forced to quit in the first episode of the three-week ITV series after dislocating her shoulder. Dani fell awkwardly on an obstacle course in a challenge called Stop The Clock.

She bravely carried on, but was later told she would be unable to take part in any more tasks. Last night, an ITV spokesman said: “Dani injured her shoulder during the recording of a challenge.

“She was attended to by on-site medics and taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

“As Survival Of The Fittest involves physical challenges which she wouldn’t be able to take part in, Dani isn’t in a position to be able to return and will therefore leave the show.”

Devastated Dani said: “I can’t take part in any of the challenges because I am no use in a sling. I’m not meant to move [my arm] for a week, so there is just no point.

“I’ve been constantly training up until now. My experience was amazing. I am absolutely gutted.”

Insiders at ITV are disappointed as Dani was a lively contestant with a big personality.

One source told us: “Maybe she will get another chance on another reality show like Love Island. This won’t be the last you see of Dani, that’s for sure.”

Elsewhere, there were the first signs of romance as Georgia Cole said she fancied Tristan Jones and David Lundy. And David fancies her too, saying: “Georgia is a gorgeous girl, 100% my type and she is good craic as well.”

Before he went into the show, David was asked how many girls he has slept with. He said: “A lot of girls. A couple of hundred at least.”

Perhaps Dani’s old man will think she’s had a lucky escape…
