Fianna Fail in uninsured drivers call

-

FIANNA Fail has urged the Government to establish a database to identify uninsured drivers.

Finance spokesman Michael Mcgrath has said the delays in establishing a fully functioning list is adding to the cost for other motorists.

He explained: “It is clear that the ultimate bearer of the cost of uninsured motorists is the insured motorist.

“The Government has taken its eye off the ball when it comes to cost of motor insurance.

“The recommendations outlined in 2017 must be completed on time so that customers can start seeing tangible benefits and ultimately a reduction.”
