S. Africa prez Zuma resigns

SOUTH African president Jacob Zuma finally bowed to pressure and quit yesterday.

The ruling African National Congress had ordered him to step down in December after Cyril Ramaphosa’s election.

The 75-year-old refused to budge. However, his scandal-plagued nine years in power has now finally come to an end.

But in one last swipe at the ANC he said: “I disagree with the decision of the leadership.”
