Fianna Fail in plea on sale of bank loans

PERMANENT TSB has been urged to clarify details of loans being sold as part of Project Glas amid fears they will go to another vulture fund.

Fianna Fail’s Michael Mcgrath TD issued an appeal to the State-owned after it confirmed the sales process.

He said: “The statement gave no detail on the type of loans being sold, the number of loans and whether family homes are involved.

“Fianna Fail does not support the sale of loan portfolios by banks to vulture funds. The sale of mortgages to such funds by a bailed out bank would be utterly unacceptable.”
