Movie bids to tackle mental health stigma

-

AN Irish youth charity is to host the premiere of an award-winning film that highlights the country’s growing suicide epidemic.

CIY, which has bases in Dublin, Belfast and around the world, will host the first screenings of Unseen.

It stars actors Desmond Eastwood and Bob Carley and explores the effects of suicide on our culture, particularly on youngsters.

CIY’S European director Jasper Rutherford said: “This is a powerful tool to help young people and young adults talk about their own mental health.”

Unseen premieres on March 5 in Dublin, on March 7 in Limerick and March 8 in Belfast.
