Mourners set to attend funeral of tragic tot Zoe

And microbeads – small particles in products such as toothpaste and shower gel – were highlighted as one of the biggest worries.
Co-author of the research Dr Tom Doyle said species “thousands of kilometres” from land are being affected.
He added: “There is clearly a concern DOZENS of mourners are expected to pay their respects to tragic tot Zoe Cannon Whitford who will be laid to rest today.
The three-year-old died after an alleged assault in her home in Shankill, South Dublin, on February 10.
Zoe was taken to Crumlin Children’s Hospital where she was put into a medically-induced coma before her life-support machine was switched off several days later.
A post on RIP.IE said she passed away “in the loving and dedicated care of the doctors, nurses and staff ” of the hospital.
Her funeral will be held at 10am David Attenborough in St Anne’s Church, Shankill, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
The family have asked for those who wish to contribute to the celebration of Zoe’s life to make a donation to the ICU at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.
Zoe is survived by her parents William and Emer, brother Max, grandparents Elizabeth Whitford and Patrick and Margaret Cannon.
Following the child’s death her mother Emer was charged with section four assault in relation to the incident.
The 42-year-old was remanded in custody until March 1 when she will appear at Bray District Court at 10.30am.
